There is no joining fee and no separate deposit. To hold a place you pay for your first month of tuition in advance, and that payment covers that month — there is nothing further to pay when you start.

After that you pay a month ahead. Invoices go out by the 15th of each month for the following month’s tuition and are due by the 1st, before those sessions take place. The amount varies depending on how many sessions fall in the month, which is why we do not use standing orders. Payment is by bank transfer or cash, and every invoice lists the sessions it covers.

If an invoice is unpaid on the 1st we send a reminder. We reserve the right to add a £50 administrative charge once payment is five days late, and to suspend tuition where an invoice is more than ten days overdue.

The fee we quote when you book is the fee you pay for that whole academic year, even if our prices change in between. We review fees once a year, in time for the new academic year in September. Current fees are on the fees page.

If your plans change before you start, we refund your advance payment in full up to four weeks before your start date.

Once you have started, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel a session. With more than 48 hours’ notice there is no charge and the fee is credited against your next invoice. With less than 48 hours’ notice the session is payable in full, because the place cannot be filled at that notice. The rule covers illness, appointments and other commitments, and we can waive the charge where the circumstances warrant it, at our discretion. Sessions cancelled by us are never charged, and we will always try to offer catch-up materials or a place in another group that week.

If you decide to stop, we need four weeks’ notice in writing. The four weeks are payable whether or not your child attends them, and where less notice is given, four weeks’ fees are payable in lieu. We may end an arrangement on the same four weeks’ written notice. On proper termination, any surplus fees are refunded within 14 days of the final session.

Pupils are expected to attend regularly and to behave respectfully towards us and towards each other. We do not tolerate abusive behaviour, whether verbal, physical or emotional, nor deliberate damage to property. Where it occurs we may end tuition immediately, and in that situation fees already paid are not refunded. Our behaviour policy sets out the stepped warnings that come first in every case short of the most serious.

Everything in our shop is a digital file — an A4 PDF, or a zip of PDFs — for you to download and print at home. Nothing is posted to you. Each product page states the format and page count.

Our papers are original material written by us in the style of the GL Assessment Transfer Test. They are not past papers and they are not reproduced from any published scheme. Clever Clogs Academy is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to GL Assessment or Buckinghamshire Council.

One family, print as often as you like. You may not share the file, resell it, or use it with a class, school or tuition group. If you need a centre licence, email us and we will sort one out.

Your download link is emailed as soon as payment goes through, and shown on screen straight away. The link works for 30 days; if it stops working before you have saved the file, email us and we will send a fresh one.

If a file will not open, is missing pages, or is not what the product page described, tell us and we will fix it or refund you. Beyond that, because these are digital files supplied immediately, the usual 14-day cancellation right for online purchases does not apply once you have downloaded the file — you agree to that at checkout. If something has gone wrong, email us anyway; we would rather sort it out than stand on a term.

The Parent Portal is run by TutorBird and our online practice runs on a separate site. Each has its own terms, which apply when you use it.
